Extraction Oil & Gas, Inc. (Extraction)’s oil and gas facility, named Greeley Directional, is an existing well pad with 20 drilled wells located in Weld County, just south of the intersection of Highways 85 and 34. Extraction is proposing to re-permit 5 previously permitted, undrilled, wells to produce an adjacent mineral spacing unit which will bring the total well count to 25 existing wells.
The Greeley Directional pad was originally constructed in 2007 to drill vertical and directional wells. All these wells were plugged and abandoned in or about 2018 so that more efficient horizontal wells could be developed. Two (2) horizontal wells were drilled and completed in 2015 and an additional 18 wells were drilled in 2019 and were completed in the last 12-18 months.
Safe and responsible operations are at the core of Extraction’s company values. Above all, our approach is defined by our commitment to working with our communities.
